Elkhorn Law prepares and reviews the documents which transfer, divide and protect real property in the Estes Valley. Much of our real estate work comes from families: a parent adding a beneficiary deed, siblings deciding what to do with an inherited cabin, or a couple moving a home into their trust. We also assist buyers and sellers who are completing a sale without real estate brokers.

Family Cabin Trust: a trust that holds the family property for the next generation under a trustee’s management.
We also draft and interpret easements (e.g., shared driveways, access roads and utility lines), which are a frequent source of questions on mountain properties where lots were platted decades ago and access was never written down. How We Work
Before preparing any deed, we review how title is currently held, since a deed that does not match the record (or that overlooks a beneficiary deed, joint tenancy or trust) can create problems that only surface years later. In a sale, Elkhorn Law can represent the buyer, the seller or, with the informed written consent of both, both parties.
